    I decided to clean off my Fiji live rock a bit with a turkey baster and a white chalky powdery stuff blew everywhere from on and inside my live rock.
    running Berlin Method
    dkh = 9
    calc = 380
    all other params are in check

    I have been dosing calc and alk code A&B
    is this calcium build up?

    I think its just natural die off. like our skin cells do. normal to some extent i believe

    Yeah, a combination of dust, detritus, and other crap that builds up on rocks. Every once in a while just take a turkey baster and blow the build-up off the rocks. Your filter feeders will love it, since it provides food for them.

    it definitly wont hurt anything in your tank. Its always a good idea to clean that rcok so good on ya.
