    Saw him yesterday but today when I went to feed he is not out. Usually he comes out even before the lights come on.
    I added another powerhead yesterday if that makes any difference.

    Brand Name: API not sure at the store
    Are they Expired?:no they are brand new

    Do you have a ground probe? No but everything else in fine and just had my hand in the tank yesterday-no shocks
    What kind of flow does your tank have? 1 Maxijet 600, 1 Koralia 1, 1 Koralia evolution 1050 (added yesterday), plus the hob skimmer so medium flow

    Oh yea the gramma goes in the rocks a soon as the lights go out

    That's pretty normal behavior for Gramma's. I wouldn't worry unless you don't see it for a few days.:)

    Seeing as how you made a change to your tank yesterday (the powerhead), it might be just adjusting. I would give it several more hours before I became concerned.

    Its just weird because this was my first fish and he always came out before the lights came on

    so you think its just freaked out from the extra flow?

    honestly Sollie its difficult to know for certain

    could be spooked due to condition changes
    we all hope thats the case and that later you will announce its front and centre again

    It could be. I've been answering reefing questions on these reefing boards for years and many times people have had fish disappear over many things. Sometimes they are afraid of a new algae clip, new coral, rocks being moved around, changes in flow, etc. In a week, your royal gramma will probably be playing in the current from the new powerhead.

    Did you look around/behind your fish tank to see if it may have jumped out? I apologize if this has been asked and answered already but I just did a quick scan of the thread.

    but when I 1st saw thread title I thought it said "cant find the Royal Grandma"

    I figured the Queen mum had gone walkabout again
