here is my candy basslet. he is called gill. its been 5 days and he is settling in nicely and everyone is playing fine together. he is really starting to come out more every day. i have been feeding him frozen mysis and frozen omega, spirulina, and plain brine shrimp. i have never used selcon and was wondering if i should add this to the frozen food as it thaws ? or is there some other food i should add ? thanks for any input.

    What a beautiful fish.:)

Personally I am a big fan of selcon, just use as directed.

Beautiful fish, Chum. :thumbs_up1: As for food, I prefer to offer a large variety. I feed my entire tank a blend of Ocean Nutrition Formula One and Prime Reef. Never used Selcon, BTW.

Super nice fish chum. As far as diet goes, variety to the needs of the fish is key.

Does LRS pick up where Selcon left off? I got a couple packets recently of LRS frozen to try, so far, so good.

I've never used selcon, just curious.

An awesome species, for which people who haven't seen one in person, can't understand the price tag. :)

From my understanding, it has to do with them being deep water fish. having to acclimate them to higher depths is time consuming and if I'm correct takes months. pretty sure that's why the Dr. Suess fish was so expensive.
