Consider yourself told otherwise. LR does not grow. Also, you don't want the potential for tumbling rock in your glass tank. That's a small piece, but still. . . .
I do not actually mean that the ROCK grows, if that is what you meant. I meant that maybe the coralline grows and gets out of hand and start to fall off or gets carried aways in the current onto other rocks. Since if I put the rocks where the hermits/crabs/snail can get to them, they eat up all the coralline.
Hermits and snails rarely eat coralline. You don't have to suspend the rock.
Just put the rock down sir, and slowly step away!
Ok, I put down the rocks and I slowly stepped away with my arms up...Now I need some of that pesky excess coraline algea from south florida 3reefers to beautify my tank...
