Just wondering if it's okay to have a clam in my 2ft cube, paramaters are good but I've only got 4 t5s, half actinic half daylight. Which clam if any would suit my tank? And would it have to be right up the top or is on the sand okay?

A crocea clam would be ok. I have one that I kept under pc's and now it is under some T5s. I keep mine near the top of the tank and it is doing great.

croceas are the most light demanding clam of them all. i have a bluew maxima in my 29 gal with 150 watt metal halides and it looks good. i would go with something like a deresea. they have cool lines and arent that rare.

i believe squamosa and derasa are likely less light demanding. with younger specimen its more about food than light. lots of phyto. not to mention a stable cal. alk. mag for growth.needs premium water conditions
