Yes, you can frag it :)
    1)Cut it with surgical/coral scissors
    2) Take your frags and find a spot you would like them to grow to
    3) get bridal netting and a rubbberband
    4) Take the rubberband and wrap it around the bridal netting
    5) Wait for your frags to grow onto the spot
    6) Take the bridal netting and rubberband off
    7) Grow your frags!

Chop it in half, 1/4's, 1/8th's, doesn't matter as long each piece has a chunk of stomach/mouth. Throw the pieces in a peanut butter jar lid with some gravel, cover with bridal veil and wait a couple weeks for the pieces to attach. Put in an area of decent flow so the junk won't get trapped in the veil.

Hairy mushrooms are in the Rhodactis family.

There are only 3 major families of mushrooms- Rhodactis, Ricordia, and Actinodiscus. :)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks exactly like mine, I was worried it would not spread. Now I have 7 in 4 months. Even is you tear the stem a little it will split into another. Try feeding too, slow eaters but will wolf down pellets if given enough time.

And yes you can just cut it as well. If it is growing and healthy in your tank it will probably do fine being cut.
