I see no problem removing the damaged piece. I would do an iodine dip to help the coral heal.

If its the branching one just cut the base of the damaged part and should be ok.

I know (not from experience) that FS's are fairly easy to frag. From the photo it's hard to tell what you are wanting to frag, but if it's a separate head that fell off, then you should have no problem. Good luck, BTW your coral looks great. I'm currently having issues with mine growing, so it's nice to see someone having good growth. Keeps me motivated : )

Thanks everyone! Yeah it's the branching type! It's weird! I'm fighting an ich battle now with herbtana so the skimmer is off and my torch hammer and FS are loving it for the time being! Although they aren't fans of the herbtana when I dose, so I do it after lights out when they're already Closed up!

So I'll cut the damaged piece loose dip it and frag it! Who wants it? My tank is full due to my recent coral shipment!?

Nice pieces, have fun placing. Study up on each coral so they will have their best chance of survival.
