My crocea clam has grabbed a loose rock beside her with one strand from her foot. All others are on rock under her and she is doing great. Except I need to move the small rock to the right of her and that is where the strand is. Can I cut it without hurting her too bad? Here is pic that may help.

I say no cut. IMO...I had an electric scallop...same issue, used my korilla and put current on attached area and gently pulled...he let loose fairly easy.
worked for me, might not be useable in your situation.

Just cut it as close to the rock as possible, should be fine.

    Don't cut !!

Do you really have to interfere? If so I'd agree with the post above.

Opp's I see another post appeared when I was posting -- I mean the post that says to pull gently.

Thanks for info. I was able to move rock without her moving she still has a hold of the rock but hopefully she will quit trying to push it over.

I forgot to mention, a clean cut is very important. A razor blade is important, anything dull may cause more harm than good.
