Thank you guys for providing a site that really helps out the everyday aquarists. You guys are awesome! Theses three things have been around for the past few weeks. Can anyone identify them?!?!

    1. Some form of algae (the green looking stuff)
I'm not really sure what type of algae this is but they look like little fingers.

    Questions:
    • Should I remove it or is it ok to keep it in to help remove some of the nitrates and phosphates in the water?
    2. A type of Coral (the light blue looking thing)
It tends to curl up during the night and opens up in the morning. It also has little tentacles along the top.

    Questions:

    • Is this a pest?
    • Should i pull it out of my tank?
    • Will if form colonies?
    3. The little pest? (the small bug)
These little bugs have been with me longer then the other two. I’m not sure if they are bugs from the live rock however, that is my guess.

    Questions:
    • Will they multiply?
    • Will fish or coral eat them?
    • Should they be removed ASAP or can they just be removed through filtration?
    • Is it possible that there can be more within the rocks?

The first pic looks like a palythoa but not positive cause its kind of blurry, the second is either a peanut worm or cucumber, the third is a type of algae that is harmless, that particular kind uses calcium to form its stalk, I cant remember what ts called.

The bluish thing is either a palythoa or some type of anemone.

Faded picture looks like a Palythoa that isn't receiving enough light!
