I have one MP40w ES on my 90. I usually use the Short Pulse Mode most of the time at around 80%, my SPSs look happy this way. But if I go lower than that, the flow wont reach to the other side.

What is your favorite setting for your VorTech(s)? Do you change during the day and night? If you could include the size of your tank and how many pumps you run, it would be great!

Mine are run by my apex.

While the lights are on I run short pulse with a standing wave.
From lights out for the next 4 hours it runs ecotransport mode to kick up the dirt and hopefully dispose of it
From that point til lights on it runs reef crest.

I do this just to keep the flow patterns changing to reduce build up on the live rock. I like the look of the standing wave.

2 MP40s, running anti-sync, reef crest, 2 dots from full blast

I do run them in night mode for 10 hours in the dark.

Occasionally I've used NTM, but I always end up going back to reef crest.

Its pretty hard to find the sweet spot and pefect setting with my cube but i keep going back to reef crest. Ocasionally run ecosmart NTM.

600-800 dollars would ALSO get me a cool Zebrasoma tang. I want a gem tang so bad! We will see how my wavemaker can help with flow in my 125g.

Iv only had mine running for 1 week now in ecosmart NTM and so far I like it.

Any idea where to place it? For example high or low in the tank? I have mine pretty high up and it causes a lot of water movement causing a lot of (strobe like) light shimmer.
