Calling All LED Gurus, HELP

Not bad at all. I am glad you upped the royal blue and CW relative to the blue and nw. 8 UV sounds about right but I feel like the green is too much. I did 2 green and 2 red and feel that is the max I would want in those colors. It does help pop though. I would not use optics on the accent colors (UV, Green) but some may disagree.

Plus one on the boost controller unless you already have a reef controller. This will allow you to play with the colors until you have them just the way you like it. Remember to get dimmable drivers. I may have missed the conversation around heatsinks?

 

I put 90 degree optics on my violets, just because of the little 7 and leds without them hurt my sensitive little eyes. But i do like them on there. I got my optics on ebay as rapid doesn't have them for the violets yet.

Okay so im buying my first 48 leds..no UV's yet..

should i get 26RB 6B and 8CW(7.5 XP-G's) for a 2:1 and dim the Whites for the 17- 20k look or
30RB 6B and 12CW for a 20k look and dim the blues if a want a 15-17k look

??
