Nissan GT-R and Nissan SKYLINE GT-R is completely different in my book. They dont even make it with stick shift anymore.. I still like the first classic GT-R tho. I can say this is one of my dream cars:

Yeah they are completely different but still a nice car. My dream car that uses the 6cyl 3.6L boxer is the GT3 ;D

I've been round and round with folks about the GTR not having a true/traditional clutch. Some say that it takes the fun out. Some say it takes driver involvement out.

This is a negative view point and it is one I have distanced myself from. I'm as traditional as it comes to enjoying a pure sports car. I love driving a real manual. With that said...

The Nissan GTR is an efficient machine. It was built with one thing in mind....to perform. Repeatable performance was a driving point in that car's design. To have someone hop in and do things similar to the actual claims. They were built to be fast and moderately affordable. They do that very well.

I've driven a couple and even raced one. Just FYI, they are NOT made to auto-x....their weight becomes painfully evident.
