I've got a Knop HD reactor that I'm going to setup tomorrow morning and I'm a little unclear about the instructions. I've got the bubble part and the effluent drip part. What I'm not sure of is that it says to fill with water and let run for 3 hours. When I turn it on do I close the effluent valve or do I start letting the effluent run back into my sump right away. I'm using an Aqua Lifter pump to feed the reactor.

Half of the instructions are in German so it's a little confusing.

Nope, German so you would think I could have figured out the instructions a little better! I got everything going now, and the review of the reactor will be coming shortly.
