    When dosing Calcium how long does it take before it takes affect in the water and show up on test?

    Not long. Depends on circulation and size of tank. 5-30 mins maybe.

    It is never good to dose more than the daily recommended amount. I always dose the daily recommended and check the next day.

    Raising calcium too fast can cause it to precipitate and screw up the chemical balance

    Keep in mind that you have a huge window for calcium 350 - 450.
