i was given a home made calcium reactor and the changes in my tank were quickly beneficial. i was in darwin, the northern territory, australia. a place where the ambient air temp is almost always 32 degrees celcius. way to hot for a marine aquarium. i used a bar fridge as a chiller unit and immediately noticed the differance. the calcium reactor made my algae problem disappear, making life noticeably easier on the coral as the coral ruble was dissolving into nutrients for the live coral to use.
