Have had a colony for about three weeks now and they look as though they are breaking off in clumps. Now I only have T5 lights with one day and one atinic and I am guessing that this isn't enough light. (Lfs said it would be but I am guessing not) I have ordered a new light setup that is coming monday. My params are all good, Nitrite-0, Nitrate-o-20, Alk-8 Amo-0, Ph-8 and salinity-1.025, two pwerheads in a 75 gallon. Don't have a test kit yet for calcium or phosphate yet but do have a phos sorb pad in the filter as well. My coral banded shrimp likes to climb on them and dig his little claws down into the polyps. Could he be my problem?

No corals, Two clowns, a damsel a lawnmower blenny, snails, starfish and an anemone that I have had a few issues with like his tenticles have turned to nubs, that is why I am upgrading with the lights.

75 gallon tank, It is a two bulb set up. 1 6700k daylight and 1 blue atinic.(not real happy with my lfs right now. Said it was sufficiant for anemone and polyps.) After everything I have read that isn't so

I am still deciding. They have the 4 bulb t5 with 2 day and 2 blue with luner lights. still not sure if that is sufficiant. Not doing any corals. the anemone is the only one I am worried about. From what I have read everywhere the bubbletips are a medium light anemone. Besides mine likes it under rocks out of the light.

well anyway. assuming the answers to my last post is yes
you have 2 54 watt bulbs. for a anemone you gonna want atleast 4 wpg.
4x 75=300 watts. you want around 300 watts to keep your anemone.

you only have 1/3 the necessary lighting.
