    sorry for the possible stupid question Otty but is the stand pipe the one on the outside of the tank that takes the water down to the sump or fuge?

    fwiw, this is what the REAL flow rates (maximum) are for these 2 sizes of PVC using schedule 40 pipe. Sch 80 flows a slight bit less.


    1" PVC is either 960 or 980 gph, either way much better than 300 or 600 from what some kits say, and 1.5" is right around 2000gph max.
