    Polycarbonate Sheet Plastic from home depot. Can I use this as a cheap alternative to cell cast acrylic for building a sump?
    Is there any side effects to using plastics other then acrylic?

    I do not need my sump tank to be as clear as cell cast so ... hence why I would like to use the Polycarbonate Sheet. Thanks in advance.

    It would work for now but over time it'll get very brittle and turn yellow. I'm sure saltwater will speed this process up at least a little.

    It will need to at least 1/4" thick.
