I am in the process of gathering materials to build a stand for a 40g breeder. I currently have a stand, but I cant stand the height. I want to make this stand a little taller. I am 5ft 4" and want to look straight into the tank, not down.

Do you reefers think there will be any issues with this? The new stand would be 35" tall. I hope my question made sense.

Not a problem. Mine is 34" tall for my 40g breeder.

Yeah. That's no big deal. You can diy a stand/cabinet to any height you like. Mine will be 36".

What is the foot print dimensions? I do not think that would be a problem as 35 inches is not that tall at all and the tank full would weight more than 350-400 pounds. Because its a breeder it has a larger foot print which will be good in your case.

I have a 100 gallon standard and the stand is 34" I still find I look down a bit, mind you I am 6' 5" :D so in your case I think you'd be just about perfect!

That wouldn't be a problem at all. My 40B stand is 36.5" tall. One thing to keep in mind is being able to reach into the tank. I'm 5'8 and can just reach the bottom of the tank.
