I don't blame you, not sure I'd want to be on TV either. Especially if there wasn't any compensation involved.

As far as your tank and what you keep in it, to each their own brother... Like you said, it's YOUR dream tank. Anyone else's dream for your tank doesn't matter.

But, people around here are known to get pretty grumpy if you don't ply them with pictures. So get busy, and let's see some pics of your other tank(s)! :)

Here is a youtube video at various public aquariums. Maybe contact ecoxotic for more info?

I use LEDs on my fowlr (not these since mine is only 180g), but I like the benefits that LEDs offer (lower opperating costs, less heat, long lasting).

Yep, I also would recomend Ecoxotic as they have loads of experience lighting massive displays. Ike really knows how to do a lot with very little.

I talked to Ike today and he told me they use their LED lights for pubic displays much deeper and larger tanks then mine will be.

I think i have found the ones I will use and i can use the neputne system to control them.

I will do 8 Cannon LED Pendant 12,000K White 100 Watt Elliptical

and 8 Cannon LED Pendant 455nm Blue 100 Watt Elliptical

with the Remote LED Driver 100 watt Dimmable.

That is about $8400 retail, i am sure i can get a discount.

The lights i was looking at was going to cost about $11K so over all i save

a few grand and get better lighting.

Thanks to Kv2wr1 for pointing me in the right direction.

Ike is a cool dud to say the least and has become a good friend of mine in the industry. Like I said, they have experience with lighting large tanks with few lights.

You can build your own led lights easy with any spectrum and power you need for $2k
    or even less!!!!
    1. Find size of sink you need Extruded Aluminum Heatsinks from HeatSinkUSA
    2.Number of leds and drivers
    3. Glue and solder them
For withe I would use Cree XM-L for blue Cree XT-E with optic 20-40 degree
I have now 8 Leds Cree XM-L with 60 degree optic they torch my tank like 2-3 MG lamps and my tank is 31 inch deep
RapidLed or Ledgroupbuy really good sourse to get from

I think you ended up talking to the right people for your purpose. Ecoxotic sounds like they will be the perfect fit.

I'm excited to see this project move forward.
