If control is what you want then I would go with the AI sol panels. Yeah they are only 1' long but you could get 20 of them for $2500 less. You can daisy chain all of them together and use one wireless controller for all of them. But if you don't care about sunrise and sunset then the orphek 100W 120 degree pendants ($800 ea.) would work well for you. I haven't used the orpheks personally so i can't comment on which spectrums would blend the best.

    Good luck
    Ben

    ???

Is this for a business of some type?

Is there a specific purpose for a tank of this magnitude?

What's going in it, a shark or something?

what do you want to keep? that is the first question you need to answer. the led light you linked although expensive will not penetrate 5 feet. look into plasma or halide. LED's like radians or the new Vega are not designed to penetrate that depth. If you find something that does penetrate it will have a very narrow optic less the 40degrees. Don't even consider something with 90 or 120 degree optic. They won't penetrate. Also 3w's most likely won't be strong enough to penetrate. I would do some serious research. Do you have a company in mind for making the tank?

forget sharks I would do a reef I could swim in ;D

a tank full of anthis, wrasse, clowns, cardinals, chalk bass, fire fish, tangs, corals, at that size also I would do a ton of reef safe fish. Then to top it all of fill it with a ton of corals.

    give it a few months and go swiming ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

No. they asked me to but I said no.
I am pretty private when it comes to those kinds of things. Talking about it on a forum and being on tv is 2 different things.
You still have to pay for everything so not like i would of got a discount.
Maybe i would of if i did lol
brett and wayde are good friends of mine way before there was a thought
of them doing a tv show. they flew out few weeks ago to measure
Everything to make sure the equipment would fit. everything will be
Commercial grade and I ended up spending way more then I was going to
but this is my dream tank so it is well worth it in the long run.
All the equipment is pretty much locked in but the lights that is why i
started this thread to get the best lights i could. I know i won’t have real reef but i know you reef guys use some pretty nice lights so i figured this would be the place to ask. i hope no one gets made on this forum but i will have a artificial reef
