    is it common to use a buffering solution ? I was told that I need to a Buffer to my water every other day to raise my PH. Is this something I will always need to do?

    I believe the salt mix you add should contain all the necessary ingredients to ensure your ph doesn't get too far out of whack. I have never added a buffering solution to my tank except once about 4 months ago (baking soda) to bring up my alk.
