So I have a rather large bubble coral, and lately when fully open his tentacles are really long.. I don't even know what they are, but for a while they have been long and stringy.. does this mean anything bad?

    how long are they?

the short stubby ones they put out are traps they have to capture food

the very long feeler ones are put out to find out whats around them and then sting the heck out of it so it does not encroach on them

so one type is for feeding and the other type is for attack/ defence

oh they are not the short stubby ones haha I know those are just to get its food, he's munchin away right now, they are very long and stringy, I figured its for his defense but I don't get why he has them out so much in the day, maybe the torch coral is too close.. I have caught them stinging each other in the past but I have moved them sense then so that wouldn't happen
