Bristle worms Good or Bad??

    I agree,IME they're beneficial.I've had them in all my sw tanks that i've had,never an issue.

    Okay, I got a basket of rubble with pods and mysis today since my lfs was outta tiger pods for my Mandarin Dragonette . . .the strawberry basket has a few good size bristle worms and I was told they eat softies by a buddy so I had to ask.

    They never touched my soft coral and I had a ton of them, till I added the skunk cleaner shrimp he ate almost all of them.

    Well I have two skunk cleaners, a fire shrimp, peppermint and a pistol, so fresh food they might be then.

    They never seem to bother any of my coral and are good at sifting through the sand eating the uneaten..
    Although a few months ago i was redoing part of the rock-work and while the LR sat in a bucket i saw a MASSIVE bristle laying at the bottom. I mean HUGE. at a minimum it was 2 feet end to end and it was think (keep in mind i only have a 56g tank). I had never seen him b4 or any sign that i had something that big in the tank so even large ones seem to be harmless IME. he died in the bucket :( didnt notice him till i put the rock back in..

    Thanks guys. My wife and I freaked out when we saw our bristle worms. It's good to know they're helpful.

    They're still ugly though. :)
