Bridgelux Vs. Cree LED

    I think a easier way to say it, CREE is 15 to 20% more efficient than Bridgelux but cost about 30-40% more. For the same out put of a 80w CREE fixture with same current can product similar PAR as a 100-120W Bridgelux fixture.

    PRO for CREE: Saving you even more electric bill in a long run.
    Great in coloration for coral
    Cons: High up front cost

    PRO for Bridgelux: Less upfront cost
    Cons: Less efficient, you spend more to match the PAR of CREE with higher Watts

    its really just personal preferences, since most people out there are still using MH, so my point of " saving money long term" is kinda the least important point to 99% of the people. Most people care about up front cost and that is why LED has been out there for quite some times, but people refuse to give it a second look until recent years.

    Well, you are correct. But it makes sense that people won't jump in LED till recently. Pricing dropped ;D
