well my ph is 8.2, cal is 460ppm, alk was a little low, and my sal was .021 so i added some alk buffer and i am adding i strong saltwater mixture very slowly at 1 cup about every 5-10 min to bring it up to .026

Was there skeleton exposed when you bought it? Based on the amount of algae growing on the skeleton it looks like it was. I made the mistake of buying one with a small amount of exposed skeleton. I didn't see it until I brought it home and then I figured it wasn't a big deal. It stayed that way for a while but then the dead area eventually started spreading. Once it started spreading the flesh completely disappeared in about a week. Brown jelly disease finished it off. I later read that they rarely recover if there is exposed skeleton since infection will eventually set in. Good luck.
