its generally recommended to NOT use two skimmers on the same system as they tend to compete with each other and will end up being hard to maintain constant adjectment and one run wet and the other dry. I researched this myself, but have not done it in person. If my math is right the BOYU is about 26 inches tall. Thats plenty of room for and alot of options for a skimmer. I have a SCA skimmer and its a beast also comes in at about 18"

I have ran this skimmer for the last almost 3 years, it's not the greatest skimmer in the world, but I does pull loads of skim out.
I would suggest buying a spare "pinwheel" as soon as u can though, thats the only thing that has ever failed on mine, reefone stocks these as they sell the skimmer too.
You will hear all sorts of comments about more expensive skimmers being so much better, I have never had an issue so couldn't see why I would change.
I also run a 300 corallife in my big tank, this appears to be doing a semi decent job too.

    Which one ?

The cube or my new 480 gallon set up ?

The 90 will be getting taken down this week and the live stock transferred to the big tank.
