I purchased a pair of BoostLED PAR30 lamps for my 10 gallon setup in December of 2012 and they both died in July of 2014. Not close to the advertised 50,000 hours, only around 9,000 hours.

Anyone else have their LEDs dying prematurely?

No but I have heard the advertised 50K hours thing could be hyped up from the industry. It's also hard to tell if the spectrums will hold up.

It always comes down you heat with led;s If your sump is enclosed this could be a very likely culprit.

+1 on the heat. Did you have them in an enclosed fixture, hood, or canopy?

Dissected the lamps and identified the internal power supply as the failed component, all LEDs were still good...

I was going to comment that the 50,000 hours is for the LEDs themselves not the electronics, but I see you already figured that out.
