    Blue Spotted Maroon Pair

A little over a month ago iBluewater became the first, and only, saltwater fish retailer to ever present the Blue Spotted Maroon Clownfish for sale.

We believe this fish is more unique than the Lightning Maroon, and just as rare. A female Blue Spotted put up for sale was snapped up super fast. We immediately commissioned our divers to search the reefs of Borneo in the hope of finding another perhaps.
An iBluewater partner, equipped with GPS coordinates, had to make numerous attempts before this...."I could not believe my eyes.... my jaws dropped....another Blue Spot. Wait! From its hiding, the male tending a clutch of eggs led up to the female."

This find is absolutely stunning. Our partner called us and we believe the right decision was made to NOT collect the pair until the eggs were hatched. Since we did not know when the eggs were laid, we were fully prepared to wait the entire 7-9 days (water temperature 80-86F). But as luck would have it, 4 nail biting days was all we had to wait. The pair were collected the same night the eggs hatched.

A mated pair of Blue Spotted Maroons! As rare as the lightning Maroon is, it was never found as a pair, let alone a mated pair.

This Blue Spot pair could well be a dream-come-true for any collector or breeder to own. And since both the male and female are Blue Spots, its is highly likely that some, if not the majority, of their offsprings will be Blue Spots; hopefully with blue patches like picassos. Imagine the commercial value of their offsprings, and the prestige of owning the only pair of Blue Spot Maroons to have ever been collected to date.

We are not yet ready to release photos of this extremely rare pair, but when we do you will see them on this site. If you are not a member yet, please sign up, and be updated on The Blue Spotted Yellow Cap Maroon

Here is a pic of the lone female sold several weeks ago
