I came home from work and found my emerald crabs chowing down on him. I guess maybe i didnt have enough pods for him to eat idk? What would make him just kill over like that?

How long have you had the Dragonet? What size tank do you have? Do you have a refugium?

It could have starved or had some sort of other problem.

in asmall tank you would probaly need to add some pods. but we do need the qustions answered. also is this a reef, and what other fish are in the tank. some fish might have been picking on him.

He was a little skinny when i bought him and I dont raise pods but he is the only fish that is exclusive to pods and I also use acui-pods for target feeding in his area. I have had him from almost 2 months now.

Awe. Sorry about the fish. These fish are picky eaters and most will only eat pods.A refugium is a great thing to have when you have a fish that only eats pods. Apparently the ones from ORA, do not always eat peleet foods, like they are supposed to either. It's sort of a hit or miss.

I will be getting a dragonet, but not until my tank is established enough.
