at this point i think it would be best to soak it in ro/di water for an extended amount of time, changing the water ever couple of days to help the rock leach stuff out. I have heard after this you can let it sit in the sun light to "bake". Never had to bleach rock so im not speaking from experience, take my advice with a grain of salt.

Yea that sounds like a good plan I will do that :) thanks. I'll let it soak a long time in some fresh water and then salt water. and let it bake out in the sun, hopefully one day it can go into the sump.

yeah, sounds like its about all you can do to me. Maybe someone else with some real experience will chime in and give you some more information.

I'd probably just chunk it over the fence.... :p haha

Why'd you do the 50/50 soak to begin with....trying to kill some kinda pest or something?
