Well I'm looking into getting a black sun coral because I love my sun coral so much. My question is how much would you be willing to pay per head? How often do you guys come across these guys (I think it'd be a neat and unusual addition)? If you've got pictures, please throw them up in here. If anyone is thinking about fragging any please let me know in a PM. Thanks!

I feel like the black sun coral is harder to keep than the yellow, but it's definitely not impossible.

Never heard of a black sun coral.
I'd love to see a picture and hear of someone's experience with one.

Honestly they're more of an oddity. Google Images has them. They're like a sun coral but black, and it looks like they branch more... maybe.

I have one....I have had it for about 1 1/2 years. Very slow grower even with feeding daily.

Honestly I have had the oppesite experience....my black is doing great, my yellow and orange suncorals receed faster and have a problem with algea growing on it.

I have been moving my yellow/orange suns to my sump for higher feeding levels and to get the algea off (no light)

Sorry I will not be able to frag it....a little too small still
