Has anyone ever seen or heard about black coral being kept alive in an aquarium?Say for instance;) that a big piece was accidentally brought up by an anchor from about 180'.Does anyone think it would be worth trying to keep a piece? Or better just to throw it back?

from 180' deep chances are it's a non-photosynthetic meat eating coral and is used to cold water temps not used to the more tropical setups most of us have, you could probably keep it in a special tank but I wouldn't suggest sticking it in your main DT
