I have a Biocube 29 gallon that has been set up for a month. Stock lighting, protein skimmer, 2 clowns a peppermint shrimp and snails and crabs. 25 pounds live rock with 18 pounds living sand.

I want to get some coral that is good for a beginner.

    What would you recommend?

What exactly is the lighting? And do you know what the flow rate is inside the tank?

It all depends on what corals you want. You will most likly start with softies so the stock ligthing should be good and they like low flow, but its always nice to have a powerhead in the tank.

Lighting is stock, which I believe is 36 watts 10k daylight and 36w actinic 03 blue. I do have an additional powerhead in the rear blowing thru the live rock.

Sorry, I would not suggest adding any coral, way to soon. The 4-6 month mark should be the target.

I use my 28 gal Nano primarilly for my frags. (fish-naked clown, royal gramma, 6-line wrasse). So far, I have mushroom leathers, pulsing Xenia's and Green star polyps growing like mad! The GSP grow so fast, it looks like I have a grass field in there!
The Xenis'a are a hit or miss, I wouldn't recommend them till you tank is a few moths older. But, just thought I'd share! Good luck!
