I not an expert and do not want to say yes or no, but I would not use it personally. Not sure what your intended use is, but if it is for a dip then I would use one of the other marine safe methods. I have used Lugols solution, iodine, and most recent Seachem with good results.

Bayer is designed to not wash off in rain which means there's a good chance if you dip your corals it could leach into the tank. The warning label goes onto say it is toxic to fish.

    Hope this helps a bit

Well actually it is very commonly used as a dip. And yes, you can use it on softies and LPS.

This is why I love 3reef. The knowledge on such a wide range of items is great. Would have never thought to use it in that manor.

    Thanks MarshallO.

I wouldn't have either; but after seeing some very successful coral tanks only use this to dip with, I figured it must be just fine ;)

I used it on my SPS when I found red bugs. No issues what so ever. I used 10 ml per cup of tank water and dipped for 10 minutes. I then rinsed well with tank water and placed them back in the tank.

I know people who have used it on every type of coral out there with no problems at all. I personally only use it on SPS and use coral Rx on all my LPS and polyps. Not really any reason specifically, thats just what I do.

Haha, I trust you. But I forgot to ask you if it was okay on LPS & softies, not just SPS. Also forgot to ask you how long you keep your fuge light on.
