Please look at the attached photo.

Yes I was carbon dosing via pellets.
I have one fish, so I add one pellet (food) a day.
The tank has no algae and 0 on phosphates via Hanna checker

I'm almost positive its Bacteria as here are the symptoms
    • can be brushed off the rocks with some work
    • is slime like
    • cleanup crew stays clear of it
    • is white or translucent
    • Grows only on the top of the rocks (not bottom) and back of the tank
    • I took a piece out and put it in complete darkness, it took 2-3 months to dissolve
    • Here is the fun on - grows back with in days

Ok, so the next question is - how the heck can i remove it... I'm considering a complete rebuild but there has to be a better way. I have started dosing bacteria via "waste-away" to see if i can out compete it, but doesn't seem to work.

I know there was a recent member that had a similar issue and a UV was recommended

i have the same exact stuff. Cant get rid of it. I have read that Dr Tims refresh and waste away may help. I haven't tried yet because I am afraid it may hurt tank inhabitants. Any success on the problem?
