Ive been watching this little guy for a few days now. I purchased some macro algae and placed it in my refugium. The same night I went out to see what was crawling around and noticed this guy. At first I thought it was just a pod of some sort, but after looking closer and watching its behavior I'm thinking its a shrimp! I had a mantis before and it was a silly little guy. Rolling over backwards and stuff haha. This one does the same!

After googling baby mantis shrimp it looks very close! Any thoughts?

Judging by the clubs, I have to agree- it's most likely a baby mantis.

Yes it is. I too believe that is a mantis. Those front claws look a lot larger than pod claws.
