    I'm trying to decide which ATI fixture to buy. The tank is 36x20x20 and will mainly be housing sps. Should I go with;

    6 bulb 36in fixture
    6 bulb 24in fixture

    Both will be the same dimmable model, just cant decide if the light spill will be to much on the 36in, or the 24 will not be enough coverage/look funny being smaller?

    Thanks

    It will depend on how close to the sides you plan on keeping your SPS. If you are looking for a lot of room at the ends then the 24" should do.

    I'd go with the 36" fixture.

    I'd go with the 36" fixture as well. I have a 36" fixture on my 65 which is 36 inches wide and I don't have much light spill at all.

    I have 60" on 72" tank. It's not a big deal. Lower light corals can go to the side but I wish I had a little longer light. I would go with 36". The price can't be that much different.

    The price isn't a big difference nor a concern, so it looks like the 36 is the fixture of choice. I guess the only plus to the 24" is being able to put low light corals on the sides.

    No one in Texas should buy a light smaller than the tank. Ever.
