ATI Bulbs suggestion

Hi guys, I just recently just got my Odyssea t5 4x24 watts and I want to replace the bulbs with ATI. Can anyone suggest the best combination of ATI (Aquablue Special, Coral Plus, Blue Plus, True Actinic, Purple Plus). I'm planning on doing softies and SPS. Thanks!!

 

I suggest 2 Blue Plus and 2 Coral Plus.

 

Would that be too blue?? I'm looking more of a white color. Another member of this forum recommended that I do 3x coral plus with 1x blue plus. Will this combo be good for encouraging sps/softies growth or should I just stick with 2x coral plus, 2x blue plus?? Sorry for asking too many questions. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can!

 

The aquablue special is a bit whiter. Add one in and you'd be pretty good. Maybe even replace the blue plus, with a purple plus, if you want to really bring out the reds.

 

Right now I have a 6 lamp but only running 4 until my tank matures a little more. I have 2 ati blue plus and 2 Blue Specials. I like that look myself but if you want more of a white you should go with the 2x coral plus, 2x blue plus. Im going to eventually add one coral and one purple plus as I get closer to adding Corals i think

It isn't real blue at all, it is about 15000K in CRT equivalent.

Your last combo will give you excellent growth and will have a more white look to it. I use the 2 x CP and 2 x BP combo because I do not like the harsh white from having an ABS in the mix.

I suggest you keep the fixture 30' above the sand so you do not light inhibit your corals.
