THE ASAP SUB-FORUM IS FOR EMERGENCY HELP AND TIME SENSITIVE SITUATIONS REGARDING LIVESTOCK AND YOUR IMMEDIATE AQUARIUM.
Example: Do you think that my lighting being on too long is making my fish tired?
Not really appropriately placed in the ASAP forum.
Please use good judgement and be sure your question is placed in the appropriate place. It helps us, help you.
Be patient: There are generally enough people on-line here at one time to help you with your problem.
Also consider using 3reef's search engine. Your question may have already been asked and answered.

    Let's get started.

Unfortunately you have yourself getting ready to start an ASAP thread. Often times we are left feeling a tad helpless when we see a thread that simply says.
    "Help! My fish are dieing".

Please fill out as much of the following info that you can. Not only will it help us help you, it's good stuff to know about your tank. And will aid in the future health of your tank and its inhabitants.....
COPY/PASTE and fill in the blanks..... Just do your best

    Reef parameters and recommended/desired levels.

    Salinity/specific gravity-1.025ppm or 35ppt
    temp.-78-82
    PH-8.1-8.3
    Ammonia/NH[SUB]3[/SUB]-0 Should be undetectable
    Nitrite/NO[SUB]2[/SUB]-0 Should be undetectable
Nitrate/NO[SUB]3[/SUB]-0 Acceptable at higher levels in a reef setting @20ppm and 50ppm in fish only.
Phosphate/PO[SUB]4[/SUB]-0 should be less than .03ppm

Magnesium/Mg:1400-1500ppm This one affects the next 2 readings/levels.
Alk/dKH/KH:7-14. See chart in below link for conversions.
    Calcium/Ca:380-500ppm

    Strontium: 5-15 ppm
    Iodine: 0.06 to 0.1 ppm

And a nifty conversion chart here

    Moulting Rainbow Crab

Am a new member with an emergency question.

    I have a rainbow crab.

Simple tank set up currently -- 20x40cm freshwater tank, no salt, filtered water, no filter.

My crab has sufficient water to submerge its body only (about 3cm of water as advised by the aquarium shop where it was acquired)

The crab has moulted but its old carapace is still attached. Don't want to touch it as all advice seems to be not to interfere.

I am concerned there may not be sufficient water in the tank though. But I am afraid to add more as I do not want the crab to drown. (have been told it needs land area (there are rocks in there) It is very weak after moulting and its right set of legs do not look strong at all (one missing, one looks twisted the wrong way) Only ocassionally lifts its head out of water and is blowing bubbles once in awhile. Not sure if it will survive and no idea what to do. Can anyone please advise urgently? Thanks

I will leave your post here for a while and see if there are any answers. Unfortunately, I do not have experience with the crab in question.
