I have these small tube like growths all over my live rock, maybe 1/2 long at most and I don't have a clue what they are. They don't seem to do anything until the tank is disturbed some how and then the fun starts. These strands of spider web like stuff comes out of the tubes and gets all over my tank. Does anyone know what these are and are they something I need to worry about?

Snails? Are these tubes some sort of immobile snails?

I'm sure these strands are coming out of these tubes.

Yes. They build their tubes and send out a net of sorts to pick up any floating particles.

+1 on vermetid snails. Usually harmless but can spread pretty quick and I've notice the web irritates some of my lps.
