So I was at a bait shop and was talking to the dude that works there. Some how we got into convo on barnacles and he said that he was wondering if they were poisonous. He wan't to keep them with some of the live bait but was told that they are poisonous.

    Is this true?

I've never heard of a poisonous barnacle, but since it is such a huge group of animals, there may be a few species that are poisonous/venomous. It's not mentioned in that Wikipedia article, though.

I believe after some research that I have a small barnacle in my torch coral. It came with the frag about 4 months ago. From the little info I found, it will probably starve itself in the normal aquaria. I don't remember anything harmful of it.
