Nothing warrents them to be changed, just trying to see if my ballasts are harting me rather than helping me. I've also heard great reviews about the ones that I am buying. Luna

if they get them back in stock soon I'm ordering 2 of the 36" T5 kits for a buddy of mine, was going to replace all 4 of his 96W PC bulbs but the pair of 36" T5's is cheaper and even if their cheap they gotta be better than the PC's he has just wish you could get a 72" T5 setup

I have the 36 and the 48 t5's, be aware they both only have one cord. the T6's all have 3 cords though. Cuttingras has them and likes them.

I have one of these fixtures, and for the price you can't beat it. Luna, I am also running SPS bulbs, have had numerous problems getting them to start. i was thinking of new ballasts as well, which ones are you going with?

I've read a lot of info regarding the Odyssea units and people that swap out for the icecaps couldn't be happier according to them. The nit comes out cheap and they get good reputable ballasts......great combo IMO!

    Luna,

Make sure and hook one side up only and take a pic of the difference before you hook both up. I'm interested in this upgrade as well. Although, the bulbs on my Odyssea just really burned in in the last day or two and look great. Well, I only have water in the tank right now, but the water looks great. :)
