Been running one for about 4 years. Pretty good skimmer for the price.

no direct experience of that particular model, matt L
but have used other Aquamedic skimmers, and I was genuinely pleased with their performance

the brand itself, gives me confidence, that this skimmer should be a good performer

Never ran Coralife. I don't think you will beat the Turbofloater for $30.
It does come with the Oceanrunner 2700 pump correct? It also requires a feed pump or you can feed it from your overflow pipe. I feed mine with a Maxijet 1200.

The Turboflotor needs a recirculation pump with a needlewheel such as a OceanRunner 2700 or Rio 2100. Flow can be fed from a powerhead such as a Maxijet 900 or 1200 or diverted from the overflow but you still need the needlewheel pump.

I used one for 7 years and sold two of them just last week when I replaced mine with an ASM G2. I never had any complaints with the Turboflotor but wanted a change.
