Any1 running a skimmerless ATS less reef?

    Im planning on a 24x24x18", i have a major space issue, im planning on just a top filter with polyfilter (foam), phosguard and carbon. Planning liverock and 2" sand or less, gbta, a pair of clown, a yellow tang, algae blenny, fire goby, skunk shrimp and maybe a small blue fish other than damsel (might not). Plannin on some leathers, gsp, zoas, palys, and might add some lps in future. No sps ever. Please help.ill keep changing polyfilter every 2 weeks. Along with media.

    No yellow tang. No other blue fish.

    Tank is way too small for any Tang.

    Filtration should be fine. I am running a 25 cube with an hob. No skimmer. The more fish the more problems you will have maintaining it.

    Just be diligent on your water changes...I agree your proposed tank is too small for tangs...

    I keep only pellet eating fishes, what and howmany fiah u suggest? I hate agressive fishes though.

    Another thing i thought of is an internal filter with chambers, so i can add the media and polyfilter both in it. Something like eheim biopower 200 or diy pvc
