I have a branching frog spawn that had one of the fleshy parts separate from the stony portion and set up residence a few inches away on the bottom of the tank. The separated part is doing well. Has any one experienced this before?

Dont sweat it, that's how they spread. Congrats, you will soon have a second frog colony.

Very nice. It should develope a stony skeleton base to attach it.

Thanks! The darn thing keeps moving around the tank. Its probably looking for a good spot to settle in.

I've seen mine do that a few times..but then it usually disappears after a day or two and I never see them again..maybe I should try netting it and put it in my smaller tank and see if it grows next time it happens?
