Hi, I've just added a regal tang to my reef tank and read that they like antler coral. Does anyone know how difficult this type of coral is to keep and where I might find some to buy (if indeed it is ok to buy)? Thanks :)

I'm not sure what you mean when you say that a particular tang "likes" antler corals?

Regal Tangs are herbivorous and consume algae! The only correlation I can see is juvenile Regal Tangs finding comfort hiding within the confines of antler(Pocillipora, Pectinia coral species)!
Regal Tangs don't consume corals...atleast from what I have read!

Strangely enough Regal tangs are Unlike most tangs as to there diet, Most tangs require a steady diet of algae.Unlike the Regal that should be fed meaty foods with a supplement with algae

ALL tangs will eat meaty items.

You're all right....kinda :) Regal tangs are primarily planktivores as juveniles and omnivores as adults. I never rely on fish sale sites for all of my information :)

    I second that Annik!
Tangs will beasically eat anything(not corals) but to ensure their health and vigor, Algal food is essential! To eliminate the chances of white lateral line disease especially.
