    Hi,

I am a fairly new sw owner although I have worked with them at a pet store for the past 3 years. I have been having trouble with my ammonia and am wondering what others would recommend. I do my water changes but it just stays high. We don't have any treatments for high ammonia at the pet store I work at and I am not sure what to get if we could. Can someone give me some advice?

    Thank you.

How long has this been going on? Did you add anything lately?
If there is ammonia, that basically means the biological filter is not keeping up with the biological load. Either something has changed that has caused another cycle, or you are just plain way to overstocked. Water changes or chemical treatments will not help this, and will only drag out the problem longer.
We need to know these things about the tank:
How long has it been set up?
    What size is it?
    What is the current livestock?
    Substrate?
    Amount of live rock?
