    Chaeto is in the fuge......... And the SB is shallow at about 2-3".

    I'm with Daniel072 and PharmrJohn on this one, maybe not the explaination that they gave, but not to far from it either. Heres a stupid Q, but I gotta ask, did you have an air pump working at least? Theres gotta be more than just lighting. Luna

    This happened the day after the work was done on the house. The fuge lights were unplugged during the work so I could plug something else in. The next day I plugged them in and started seeing strange behavior from the fish later on. My pH is normally spot on. I never test for it either. My KH was pretty low also. I thing the combination of the funky lighting schedule coupled with bad buffer capabilities caused the problem. All I did was a 5 gallon w/c and dripped some buffer and everything started coming around. Lost 3 fish total.

    how low did the ph drop? As I understand it, a ph drop should not kill those guys that fast. Im on the bus with luna, pharm, daniel, there has got to be something else. either way I feel your pain! k+
