I think I did good for $20. Five headed candy cane, Pulsating Xenia, Palys attached to the same rock, GSP, and small Kenya trees. Also picked up a Prizm brain goni yesterday for $15.

    Nice!

After reading dome local reefers threads on irradicating zenia from their DT,

you may want to research whether you want that or not NOW, before it takes over.

Yeah I'm aware. I'm using it to dial in the flow in my tank then I'll either take it out or maintain it. I'm in the middle of adding different corals and trying to figure out where my flow is strongest and weakest etc.. I know there's other ways but this seems fun and my chick like the way the xenias "pulsate", so I'll deal with them for a few months.

I love xenia! You can just cut it off the rock if it grows too much to keep it trimmed.

oh, and you did great for $20!

I think they look really cool too! I almost got some from a fellow reefer over a year ago- but didn't.
Now there's all these threads on all these chemicals to eradicate them.
And pics where it essentially TOOK OVER one reefers really nice DT in over a years time!

But again, I agree, it does look cool.
Maybe constantly trimming it to keep it in check?

Thanks! There's a kid I found on my local reef society forum who sold those to me. Funny the xenia is everywhere in his tank. There's even pieces growing on a couple of his snails!

Good steal you got. Xenia is a must for any tank I setup. Just love the movement it provides
